The Big Brother Naija 2023 housemates have their wager task in week one of the reality TV show.
The BBNaija All-Stars housemates did the wager task with all housemates participating in the task house the house to win its wager as collectives.
According to Biggie, housemates will be judged by how they present their tasks rather than by talent.
Biggie added that talent is essential, but the delivery of the task will be judged, and each level would be scored accordingly.
How The BBNaija Season 8 Week 1 Wager Task Went
It was a very close shave as Big Brother was not convinced at all with their wager performance.
It was a serious game of chance when Big Brother addressed the housemates after their first wager performance. Fidgety fingers, clenched fists, and tapping toes were seen as the All-Stars awaited their fate. Having had a rather rocky week of disputes, fights, and inconsistencies in their approach, even they were surprised to have won this week’s wager.
When Biggie revealed the wager for the week, it seemed like the easiest task for the housemates to achieve, what with being expected to talk about themselves. In the lead-up to tonight’s presentation, there were brainstorming sessions, fights, and moments when it seemed the housemates were going to fail woefully.
Cracks showed during rehearsals when Alex, CeeC, and Uriel disagreed on directing the show. By some stroke of luck, the housemates pulled through and put together a presentation that involved each one of them speaking about their time in the house, a drama stitching highlights of their previous seasons and the good old diary room sessions.
About an hour before the presentation, there was panic in the house after Biggie revealed that they were to present their highlights from the previous season and not give a musical. The presentation was too long and not up to All-Star’s standard, as noted by Big Brother.
What could have been a disaster and a week of limited food choices, was fortuitously avoided when Biggie announced that the Housemates had won their wager. Their unstated Moniepoint coins were also presented to them with the instructions that they were to be kept in the provided Moniepoint banks and could be used to trade for any favor in the house.
It was a close call for the housemates, but it may be hard for them to pull off another win amidst disunity and chaos. Maybe a week of eating only basic will eventually straighten them out but until then, we are glad to see the housemates bask in abundance
